Hail to the Hero's....Welcome Back "Ike" Carrier Strike Force

It was a beautiful day at Pier 14 as the USS Eisenhower (CVN14) and other ships in the carrier strike force returned from a 6 month deployment Thursday July 30, 2009.

All of us at in the Tidewater area wish only the best for those sailors and their families.

All of you are Hero's and we take our hat off and say "Welcome Back!"

We recognize the long hours, hard work, difficult shipboard life and the extended separations that you and your families must endure.
